The way assets are recovered is by not giving up. Most fraudsters and debtors will assume that the person they owe money to won't spend a lot of time and effort trying to find the money. They just think that if they claim they don't have any money or that their company is out of business, it will be enough. And that the person they owe money to won't keep digging. As investigators, we know that any time an asset is stolen or taken from a person, it goes somewhere. And the fraudster is not going to live at a level of poverty they're used to. They're used to affluence and having access to high net worth environments. So, they'll always make sure they maintain access to the funds. It may not be in their name, and it may not be assets like boats, planes, and cars that they actually own. But they will have access to those things, and following the flow of funds is the key to recovering hidden assets.
