Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to tonight's meeting of the committee of adjustment. This is a meeting to consider applications for minor burns and consents. It is held under the authority of the Planning Act of Ontario. Please keep in mind that the intent of our process is to review the proposal that is before us, listen to the evidence, and make a decision. This process is not intended to be used to resolve any concerns or disputes that may exist between the town, individuals, or other organizations. If a request for a deferral is made this evening, the committee will grant such a request. The committee, after consultation with the Secretary Treasurer, will set a new hearing date and no further notice will be provided. If there are any changes to the application, in order to conduct an effective and efficient hearing, we have adopted the following process: 1. The owner or authorized agent will be given the opportunity to briefly explain the basis of the application and answer any questions that may arise during the hearing. A maximum of five minutes will be provided for this presentation, and you need to state your full name and address for the record. 2. Any material submitted to the committee for review will remain the property of this committee. Any submissions beyond the five minutes will be at the discretion of this committee. 3. All persons attending the hearing who wish to support or oppose an application must also state their full name and address for the record. A maximum of five minutes will be provided for your presentation. All remarks and questions must be directed to the chair of the committee.
